Mateo Luna Broomstead
Bradshaw Christian High School
Football
Mateo began playing competitive basketball and football at age nine. He continued playing through high school and as a freshman he made the varsity basketball team. In football he earned Bradshaw’s J. V. Most Valuable Player award as a running back and outside linebacker. Mateo Played both offense and defense on his varsity football team averaging 1,600 all-purpose yards scoring 64 touchdowns during his three varsity years. He was selected Sierra Delta League’s Offensive Player of the Year, Sacramento Bee All Metro Honorable Mention, and All State Football Nominee at running back. Mateo will attend Boise State University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and his long term goal is to go to law school.
Marissa Garcia

Women’s Basketball
Marissa’s love of basketball allowed her to make her high school’s women’s varsity basketball team as a freshman where she played all four years. Her basketball team won first place all four years. As a senior this year she was named team captain with a 4.3 GPA. Marissa is passionate about education and English is her favorite subject. Her academic interests are to attend Sierra College, major in Communications with extensive coursework in English and Writing. One of Marissa’s goals is to teach abroad in a foreign country.
Shea Moreno

Women’s Softball
Shea grew up playing baseball and competitive softball. At a very young age she aspired to play collegiate and professional softball. Shea maintains a 4.0 Grade Point Average while playing competitive softball and was selected for Sacramento’s All-Metro League, All City and All State Softball Teams. In the fall 2018 Shea will attend UCLA on a softball scholarship and aspires to coach and become a sports broadcaster
Alyssa Perez

Women’s Soccer / Golf
Alyssa began playing soccer at age 8 in Tahoe Park and moved up to play for the FC Elk Grove, then to Natomas United competitive soccer leagues. During this time she also played on the Sutter Junior High School’s City-League Championship Teams. Her grandfather Gilbert Luna, M.A. Hall of Fame Board Trustee, taught her the love of golf and she participated in the Latino Junior Golf Association winning Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals. Alyssa participates in McClathcy’s rigorous Humanities and International Studies Program (HISP) and maintains a 4.5 GPA by taking Honor and AP classes. Her goal is to attend a University of California campus in the fall 2018.

Men’s Soccer
Roberto Carlos began playing competitive soccer at seven years of age. He developed a life-long passion for the sport and he is one of Sacramento’s most talented soccer stars. He is a four year starter on his varsity high school soccer teams earning All-League, Freshman-of-the-Year, All Conference and has participated in three High School Soccer Section League Championships. Roberto Carlos plans to continue to play soccer in college, earning a Business degree with emphasis in real estate.

Women’s Softball
Jessica has played softball all of her life and during the school year she plays softball in the fall for a competitive club team and for her high school during the spring. Jessica is proud to be a Christian Brothers Falcon where she maintains a 3.67 GPA. Jessica has applied to numerous nursing programs and is currently waiting for her acceptance letter
